KENYANS STILL MOANING SUPREME COURT DISMISIING RAILA'S WIN 3 MONTH LATER.
Many
kenyans will hardly forget .... how the so called "six judges" Threw
out the little faith that majority of kenyans had bestowed upon them,
little hope that struggling citizens had slowly started realizing under
the new constitution, Kenya was finally seen as the beacon of Democracy
and justice, and that no ill shall ever set its foot amongst our nation
ever again.in major school around the country ,children aspired to be
like CJ willy Mutunga, some loved the courage in justice Njoki Ndungu,
how she championed for the rights of baby girl in modern society.women
were tangled by the lovely voice of Justice Wanjala. Kenya was so much
promising and prosperous than never before.
Tribalism was dead.corruption was limping, nepotism was in ICU,extrajudicial killings was in a comma,Dictatorship had been arrested,
kikuyus were in love with Luos,we all enjoyed being kenyans, economy
was fairing well despite global recession,IDP were easy and slowly
healing, though some fractures and traces of betrayal by who took who to
ICC lingered in the back of our minds, no kenyan wanted to be portrayed
as statuesque.
Then
came the establishment of IEBC, which was brilliant, it revolutionize
Kenya's electrol system , from old controversial paper work, or old
"mlolongo moi's system" to digital one, Kenya was so hopeful,
expectations were so high and nigh , no one risked to take it away!,
however questions started trickling as to how the commission will handle
countrywide logistical issues, slowly the IEBC defied being questioned
on how it was rolling its work.silently and in bitterness kenyans were
dissatisfy, issued were raised as to how certain politician were allowed
to break election rules, using the same commission to register their own
voters in masses, while others relied on the commission, as it was
lawfully mandated to do full campaign and registrations, don't forget it was well funded(MILLION DOLLARS)!!on some occasions IEBC ensured voters were registred in certain areas more than others. by following FACTS:
They provided cars, and well arranged logistic support in central Kenya areas to register masses in remote areas.
They used computer illiterates in CORD strongholds to buy times, given that registration was only for short period of time
They provided equipment that were bound to fail, or not working at all.computer without charge.or no password.
Someone organized insecurity during voter registration, to make voters shun away from the exercise.
There were lot of double registration, and IEBC failed to do any small or proper kind of "DATA "cleaning,
it also blocked people with ID waiting cards from accessing voters
registration in certain areas, while allowing driver license holders to
be registered in certain areas.
They
used provisional administration to campaign in certain area, but in
other ares the PA were spreading propaganda about electrol registration,
eg in Busia people were warned they will become infertile if they stare
at the computer web-cam.
On
that day Mutunga dismissed CORD petition in less than 5min, kenyans
were shading tears like small baby's, but a speech from His Excellency
Hon
Raila A in his office as outgoing PM will forever live in our hearts.
Odinga encouraged kenyans and East Africa power house how he felt , and
he spoke as if nothing had happened. From
him kenyans learn t how to be strong in whichever circumstances, long
life Raila and my role model.
Now 3 month later,Tribalism is so mighty alive.corruption is now free and fair., nepotism so powerful as you move on to nowhere, extrajudicial killings common than ever before,Dictatorship finally has unlimited freedom.
kenyans
have burnt their voters cards, Commissions and their chairman remain
hypocrites to common kenyan, whose work is it represent their own selfish
interest.
River
Jordan didn't cut into two to allow us cross through it to Canaan,
kenyans are no longer hopeful, But are just waiting for the 2nd coming
back of Jesus Christ, since Moses couldn't take us to the promise land.
