SOLUTIONS FOR ALARMING KENYA STATE OF INSECURITY

The insecurity in Nairobi is wanting. Both, National and County security system is under central government yet many Kenyans are now targets of lazy people who wait to grab/rob what majority of us toil for.
When an idiot time some one's movement on the street and grab his/her phone on the street in the broad day light, what does this communicate to us?
Ladies are no longer safe with their handbags, necklace and chains in Nairobi streets. They are no longer safe even in their "dress to look good" attires, because they don't know what might happen the next minute.
I am bitter with the system because i am a victim of broad day light robbery in Nairobi City.

MY ADVICE TO UHURU'S GOVERNMENT:

Community policy.

Proper police vetting.

modernize Kenya police.
Make Kenya police an independent police from the executive or legislative, and allow police to table its own budget.

Government should take serious action,,l personally think what the goverment should do is install CCTV even in rural areas especially in following counties:Bungoma ,Wajir ,Embu  ,and Garissa county.

The current N.I.S should be disbandment with immediate, some names should be forwarded to director of prosecutor to face the law, for negligence of work, especially the top brass.

Local chiefs should be well trained and armed.

Kenya should urgently reduce the number of MPs, and instead increase presence of more police officers. safety is key for development,At least if Kenyans are safe to work, day and night, they will feed themselves. We see a ward representative making more than a police officer. Let any pay correspond to work load not education. Well educated men and women, with the will to serve will still seek for any job. The police has such people, with degrees but low pay! Avoid board meetings and let us get to work NOW.

Am looking forward to well motivated police service that Kenyans would be joining as a calling, that will have immediate action on psychological help immediately such incidences occur. Also am hoping that our society will once accept to share information with police officers to protect them from avoidable incidences.Kenyans should understand that security will always start with ones self.when we have taken care of our own security the the same can be extended to others.
Each County ought to have its own Laws under the National Constitution. And an independent police unit under the mayor a elected by popular vote. Each County has its own and unique security needs and a unitary police service has failed since independent due to corruption, nepotism, tribalism and outright interference and or negligence from the top
My fellow Kenyans. We can not move our country forward no matter who is president if we can not deny our-self to make Kenya a better nation that takes care of its elder, the poor, the mentally challenged and above all "all our children". No child should be in the cold or hungry like a stray dog. May God help us to open our eyes.
