MUDAVADI TRICKED LUHYAS,NEXT OPTIONS?

UHURUTO...A BLESSING IN DISGUISE FOR THE LUHYA NATION
INFRASTRUCTURE: This is one key aspect to economic take off. However, western Kenya has for years suffered from poor road networks hence denying the residence an opportunity to explore the potentiality in the Agricultural sector. Take an example of Kisumu-Kakamega road that until recently was a hell of a road, yes, at least some work has been done on it but not to the class it is classified into. What am I trying to point out, our leadership should give this area a priority in their development agenda so that we can open up to more economic ventures. More so, feeder roads should not be ignored as it is the only way our people are going to access the few markets we have in the region and even beyond...My opinion!
EDUCATION: Despite producing best doctors, best teachers, best sportsman/women,best engineer's, best authors. western Kenya is still lagging behind in terms of accessing quality education, until recently the whole region had only two modern university, with 80% of school going students doing so bare footed. majority of Luhya's dont access scholarships, are not supported by any NGO's.its some small churches that have been throwing Harambee. sustaining these bright brains in school.
UNEMPLOYMENT: This is deadliest part!! Luhya's are not in job period.

Since independence, the luhya nation has always been well represented in the government. Talk of the late Jomo kenyattas government, come the Moi regime which had house hold names like Moses Mudamba Mudavadi and Elijah Mwangale not forgeting the ever smiling Amos Wako.
During Kibakis time, we had the likes of the late VP kijana Wamalwa, Moody awori to mention just but a few. Come the Jubilee government, you will be forgiven to think that we have anything to refer too. Apparently, this is not by mistake but a calculated move to create a vacuum in the luhya land by the Jubilee government all in the name of grooming their own persons from this region and sideline the existing crop of leadership. We already have word doing rounds of Ruto trying to win Western and Nyanza support.

However, their is one common factor that is being over looked. The luhyas have always been in government and thus had no chance to critically think as a community. By sidelining them, this has come as a wake up call to them and Just like the Luos who learnt the heard way of fighting as a community, this is one aspect I think and believe will trigger the much desired unity amongst the sons and daughters of Mulembe and I think by the time we clock 2017, it will not be business as usual in Luhya land.
Luhya's need people who can take a long jab at their needs...unfortunately local leaders have developed a culture of coming back after every five years to repeat the one and same story.
