Economy Experts warning for tougher times, kenyans brave for one and tighten your belts..,
During
the swearing in Ruto promised Jubilee supporters that never will they ever
get something like NO VACANCY written somewhere while in such of
jobs, and the price of unga to come down to sixty shilings now with the
introduction of VAT on these basic commodities i wonder whether the price
will come down or increase to two hundred shillings!!
My own but sincerity advice to all kenyans, please make
sure you do enough shopping today before midnight because the prices of
essential commodities e.g milk, bread, maize flour, sugar, cooking
oil, salt etc are set to rise from tomorrow
17
Billion for laptops...but ignoring 15 Billion for teachers.....yeah
yeah with the laptops, kids will not need the teachers This budget is
just the beginning of gigantic problems, sickening.
They
said we can do without tourist (European nations). Its three months and
i haven't seen nor heard the son of jomo signing even a single cent
investment deal with any country. Where is China?? They are now
poachers of our rhinos and elephant. No wonder basic commodities prices
are to be increased to cater for jubilee promises. T
THE
ARITHMETIC-We have a budget of 1.6 trillion.in this, we have a
PROJECTED revenue of 1.4 trillion meaning that our budget has a deficit
of 200 billion.in the projected revenue, we have issues on how to raise
it.KRA has not been reaching its target for the last two years-if am not
wrong.remember that the budget figure of 1.6 trillion did not factor in
the salary increment deals that had been arrived at with
lecturers, teachers and civil servants.all are now demanding the same and
will have to be paid at least some part of it.the funding that had been
expected to come from development partners for projects such as the
Lamu port looks unlikely.we therefore widen the deficit since we have
more expenditure than had been projected in the budget.apart from an
expansion in the tax base, can someone tell me any other way this
government will meet its financial obligations?
AND
THE COUNTRY WILL GO BANANA-post primary teachers have set 18th this
month as the date for their strike.primary teachers are demanding some
48b in increment arrears.civil servants are demanding a 90%
raise.Treasury seeks to re-introduce the bill on levying VAT on
essential commodities.Governors and Senators are rioting.the Hague is on
a countdown to the beginning of trials.when you steal an election, be
warned that the gods are VERY harsh
THE
GOVERNMENT WILL BE BROKE IN THE NEXT SIX MONTHS-There is no likelihood
of useful external trade.no serious state has indicated the will to get
into new trade deals with Kenya government.they are promising you very many
free things without telling you how they will finance it.international
organizations which have been complementing government efforts in health
and education are reluctant to inject more funding.priorities are going
wrong.you cant use 75b on useless laptops while you cut out funding to
counties and slash the education budget.no lender would lend a
government with wrong priorities.by the way the World Bank will channel
funds directly to counties.good people, brace yourselves for higher
taxes, fuel costs and interest rates
Just as to make sure you know, the Sh5 million per MP car grant will cost tax payers (you
and me) Sh2.08 billion. Question is, Can Kenya Afford ?
l have been reminded that Moi left us a debt of
ksh 500billion in 24years,Kibaki a debt of
1.3trillion in 10years and uhuru so far a debt of
2trillion in 120days.
